Message | This will be extremely hard on those that cannot afford environmentally friendly cars, or the trucker it will bankrupt because he needs a bigger vehicle and cannot get one because it harms the environment too much. If the people really want environmentally friendly cars, they will buy them, the cars will sell more, more will be made and soon, the others will not exist. If that is what the people want. If some do not want this because they need the less friendly vehicles, they should be able to buy them. Besides that, this is a treaty. Once we are in, we will never get out. If this destroys the shipping business, or the poor family, we cannot turn around. George Washington, when he retired, warned us not to have permanant alliances. He also warned us not to have political parties, and look how that turned out. It turned politics into a dirty thing not to be trusted. |

Message | Our laws already coincide with the principles of the treaty. By joining we become part of a global effort to save our natural resources and diverse ecologies. |
