Bill: The workers' right to strike

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fatherland Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2199

Description[?]:

I agree that a strike is a right for workers but when it's about some industrial branch or transport company that is vital and critical for our economy and nation this right should be removed. This requires that goverment sees to it that workers are treated so well that they won't stike.

MessageWe feel this is a cop-out which allows some industries not to benefit fully from trade unionism. A minimal service is all that is necessary, allowing emergency cover when people need it and a legitimate way for workers to show their plight.

MessageThe government may order an end to a strike in critical sectors of the economy, but that is not the same as to say that certain professions should not have the right to strike. We promote liberal economic policies, not corporatism!
