| Under this act, all candidates will recieve public funding. The funding will be equal to 2 HLR per vote cast for that candidate. For example, if a candidate recieves 5000 votes, their campaign will recieve 10000 HLR. Also under this act, there will be a limit to the amount an individual can donate to a political party. An individual may not donate more than 5000 HLR per year to a political party. Corporations, unions, etc. are also limited to 5000 HLR per year in political donations. |

Current: Campaigns are never publicly financed.
Proposed: All candidates receive public funds, and can still accept donations.
