Political Views:

The Federalist Party is best characterized as a neo-libertarian conservative party, leaning more to the libertarian side of the political spectrum while departing from it at several key junctures. The Federalist Party was at one point an ardent republican party. However, as the Federalist Party has a deep connection to the throne it does little to oppose it and is outwardly monarchist. Though the party does in at least some ways maintain its republican traditions.

At its core, the Federalist Party believes in the individual. This ranges from the belief in individual responsibility to an individuals’ being best suited to make choices for their lives. We believe in providing equality of opportunity for all Hutorian Citizens and fostering a competitive economic environment in which all can pursue success. We believe that government is best in limited forms and will strive to keep the government out of the lives of the individual with few exceptions.

Government: Government is best when limited and as such, the Federalist Party advocates for a balanced power dynamic between the Federal and Provincial Governments.

Military: The Federalist Party believes that Hutori should maintain a strong global military presence to preserve Hutorian interests and will vote to maintain the Hutorian military. Because of this policy, a large number of the nation's military belong to the Federalist Party.

Foreign Policy: One of the key points the Federalist Party departs from classic libertarianism is on foreign policy. While most libertarians take an isolationist non-aggression stance to foreign policy the Federalist Party promotes an active and forward thinking approach to foreign policy preferring to take on situations instead of letting them pass by and potentially adversely affecting Hutori and its citizens.

Life: The Federalist Party holds that Human life objectively valuable and that it should be protected. As such, the Federalists condemns such practices as euthanasia and abortion as affronts to the value of human life and among the few choices that should not be afforded to the individual.

Economy: Federalist believe in little to no government intervention in economic affairs. Believing that economies are best when driven by each individual’s desire for success and the individual consumers daily buying habits. Interference by government into these sectors often has an adverse effect on both producers and consumers.

Religion: The Federalist Party believes that everyone has the right to believe and practice their religion as they see fit. We believe that every person and organization has a right to promote their religious beliefs in whatever way they wish so long as it does not physically harm another individual.

Civil Rights: We believe that everyone has the right to voice their opinions and beliefs. We believe that people do not have the right to be free of opposing or challenging views. We believe that everyone is deserving of equality of opportunity. We do not believe that everyone is entitled to equality of outcome.

Research and Development: The Federalist Party is an ardent proponent of the sciences and will promote science literacy, education, and funding wherever possible. A scientifically literate future is a bright future.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.

Random quote: "As a practitioner of Inkolo, the traditional Ibutho religion, and also as a devout Hosian, Ahmadi, Yazdi, Daenist and Felinist, I am the perfect candidate to chair the International Conference on Inter-Faith Dialogue and bring all of the different sides together. I am further qualified by the fact I am a living deity myself, and hence - as all who know me agree - have a unique vantage point for understanding divine affairs." Chief Mlungisi of Ibutho, May 3611
