This bill, if passed, would mandate the Minister of Defense to oversee the creation of a single new national defense corporation with the expressed goal of competing with extant private defense corporations in terms of quality and price. It will not result in the nationalization of a current defense company. The Minister of Defense shall be encouraged to allow a share in the company, not to exceed 49 percent to be traded on public stock markets. |
