| THIS BILL WILL PROVIDE for the structure of the military of the Dundorfische Demokratische Republik (hereby, DDR), as well as provide for how it shall be operated and led. ARTICLE I: All military personnel within the DDR will be under the authority of the Vorsitzender des Staatrates (hereby, VdS), who operates in tandem with the Minister of Defence as their adviser. The VdS shall hereby be given the title "Oberbefehlshaber." ARTICLE II: The Volkskammer must approve any declaration of war or military intervention by a simple majority. The VdS shall not be permitted, under any circumstances, to send troops without the authorization of the Volkskammer. ARTICLE III: There shall be formally established five (5) branches of the military, with distinct jobs to accomplish; -The Volksarmee, consisting of ground troops, armor battalions, and other ground ops, shall be used to fight on land, and used for defence of the nation and the VdS. -The Volksmarine, which shall be used to operate on the high seas, and protect our shipping abroad, as well as to transport aerial and land units in times of war. -The Luftwaffe, which shall be used to defend Dundorfian airspace, and to oversee operations in foreign airspace in times of war. -The Roter Stern: *Volksmarine, which shall be used for elite operations to land on foreign soil. *Volksarmee, which shall be used for elite operations, covert or otherwise, in enemy territory. -The Küstenwache, which shall be used to guard our shores in times of peace and war from any threats. ARTICLE IV: It will take a 2/3 majority to pass and amend this bill. |
