Bill: NDU - 32: Democratic Scrutiny Bill II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nationale Demokratische Union (NDU)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4428

Description[?]:

Honourable Members of the Reichstag,

The NDU is proposing a limit on the number of bills a party can introduce in any given year, and the total number of bills can accumulate. Our reasoning is not to impede democracy but actually to strengthen it. Fewer bills means there is less pressure for parties to introduce complex bills, sometimes on a variety of subjects. Furthermore, there can be greater scrutiny by members of this chamber to ensure that these bills are properly understood.

I hope the government will support this motion.

Aroisu Marutin,
Secretary-General of the NDU

OOC: reintroducing due to a lack of votes.
