MessageIn times of national crisis,e.g. a hurricane, a tsunami, a volcano etc we need the ability to call in the military to support the emergency services. To make such assistance illegal is absolute madness! What is worse is it will cause the deaths of many Hutorians should a disaster occur!

May I remind you all of Hurricane Katrina in that other world.

MessageHurricanes and Tsunamis never occur near the poles. It is absurd to even THINK such.

And no government in the Real World (OOC: Terra) could ever be so incompetent as to put the disaster relief under the control of the Anti-Terrorism Ministry!!!!

MessageIt is absurd to bury your heads in the snow and decide there can never be a disaster than requires augmentation of the civil defence forces by the military. What if two jumbo jets collide over Ihmetella or some such.

Disasters have the worst effects on naitons that do no planning against them.

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.
