Date | 21:33:28, July 24, 2018 CET | From | New Liberal Alliance (NLA) | To | Debating the Ecological Regulation Act |
Message | Madam Speaker, The New Liberal Alliance believes in a liberal approach to the ecological impact of business, and while we believe in protecting a clean environment for our children, we must also deliver them with a strong economy. The ecological and environmental regulations set upon businesses are too restrictive, this red tape must be reduced. That is what this proposal is about, opening up the Republic for business. Date | 00:56:09, July 25, 2018 CET | From | Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) | To | Debating the Ecological Regulation Act |
Message | The Socialist Party might support Article 2 if it was alone in a separate bill. But due to the preponderance of heavy industry in certain parts of Kalistan, for example, the Sulari region and Eshar region, as well as mining operations in Neveras, the way to keep those areas clean despite the economic activity is through heavy pollution restriction. If pollution restrictions were lifted, the waste generated by those industries would very soon overwhelm the environmental capacity to remain tolerable. We urge our Comrades to consider the positive public benefit to clean skies, water and ground, and weigh that against the modest benefit to industry that relaxation of the pollution standards would provide. We yield. |
