From | Democratic Socialist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | Support: gambling is a form of exploitation of the poor by the rich. Games are rigged in the casion's favour.
One suggestion: could you make a non-profit lottery legal? |

From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | I'll move this to a vote since most of the parties have stated if they were for or against this bill. |

From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | I won't give one! LOL. Besides that, you didn't allow for non-profit lottery in your proposal. That was why I voted against it. :p |

From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | And before you said you did, you said "public owned lottery" There is a big difference between non profit and public owned. |

From | Democratic Socialist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | You never raised that point in debate, and as you can see, I was in favour of non-profit lotteries. You're just making excuses now. |
Date | 22:08:50, June 08, 2005 CET |
From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | Nope. Taking advantage of what you were saying in the last bill. Why should I be the one to bring it up when it was your bill and you never made mention of it? |
Date | 22:29:41, June 08, 2005 CET |
From | Democratic Socialist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | You just said "keep gambling to where it is". If you had an issue with the bill, you should have voiced it and I would have tried to negotiate. Also, the proceeds from a national lottery would go straight back to the community, so it is arguable not for profit.
I want my apology! |

From | Democratic Socialist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | But a national lotteyr can only be non-profit, which you apparently support. Apologise please!
Just to prematurely steal your thunder, the Tribal Council has passed this bill. |

From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | 3 Right Wing Parties and 2 socialist parties. Yea that's an odd group alright! :p |
Date | 22:26:53, June 09, 2005 CET |
From | Social Dynamist Party | To | Debating the Illegal Gambling Act | Message | More to the point, it's four parties with at least some authoritarian/conservative leanings and one (usually) liberal party.
But the DSP has expressed some concern, and has requested a slight compromise. So not all that odd. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
