MessageMr. Speaker

Hutori has long prided itself on being a business and financial centre for the northern hemisphere and our extremely competitive Corporate Tax Rate is the 9th best in Terra. If we boost it to 20% we'll have lost that competitive edge and we will lose the economic benefits and clouts that we have gained. We are asking that all of our coalition partners vote against this.

MessageMr Speaker,

A corporate tax increase would do nothing but make tax collectors more inefficient, block potential new companies from entering the market, and drive existing corporations overseas. If we want to increase revenues, just introduce a land value tax and increase the income tax of the biggest brackets.

MessageMr Speaker,

To add, I also feel that Article 2 and 3 should be spun off into their own separate bill.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The New Liberal Party would support the third provision of this bill, but not the first two. We urge our friends in the Consumers Party to split this bill into three separate bills.

We are also working with President Knox to create a comprehensive Tax Reform bill, but would like comment from all parties before making any decisions. If the Consumers party is interested in raising the corporate tax rate, we invite the party to join in the conversation here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=577011

MessageThe three Bill's are supposed to be together. THIS IS NOT AN OMNIBUS BILL. It simply taxes corporations more and than does things with the money that all people can enjoy.
