Message | The UDRC can support article 2. |
Date | 16:08:33, August 07, 2018 CET | From | Collectiu Metzista | To | Debating the Civilian Military Service Act |
Message | As Article 1 is dependent on mandatory service being enacted ["required to perform military service (if applicable)"], and Article 2 removes mandatory service, Article 1 would then be not binding (not applicable), as there would be no required military or national service to conscientiously object to. Therefore, changing the policy in Article 1 is more to affirm clarity than to truly reform the policy itself. |
Date | 22:10:22, August 07, 2018 CET | From | Unión Demócrata Republicana Confederal | To | Debating the Civilian Military Service Act |
Message | The civilian national service is not military service. Civilian service is usually performed in the service of non-profit governmental bodies or other institutions. For example, in healthcare facilities and retirement homes. |
