Bill: The Great Budget Reform Act of 2200
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2200
Description[?]:
As we have entered the new millennium, our focus must be on impproving our already great nation. I have been planning these changes for some time now, and with the stability of the government ensured with the recent election, I have put it to vote. Our economic system needs to be revamped. I have made necessary adjustments to all areas of our spending. Our spending in the Health and Social Services area has risen dramatically, for the great benefit of the people. We have to protect those who put us into office. Other areas recieving a great deal more money included Enviornment and Tourism, Foriegn Affairs, Internal Affairs and Education and Culture. Areas given reductions, which were also necessary, included the Defense and Justice ministries. All areas experienced some change. Our national profit is so high at the moment that we can afford such changes. If enacted, this new budget will leave us with more than a 25 Trillion Quanzar annual surplus. We can certainly afford to make these changes. I urge all parties to see the wisdom in not wasting our surplus, but rather improving our nation's spenditure in all areas. It is time for a change, a change that will lead to further prosperity in this nation. |
