| WHEREAS the Republic of Dranland has a currency that experiences large amounts of inflation and is of very little value; WHEREAS the only way to ensure the economic stability of Dranland is to continue to inflate our currency, lest we experience a recession; WHEREAS our economy has a large base in trading goods with neighbouring countries; WHEREAS the Republic of Egelion has an established currency, the Egelion Pound, that enjoys very little inflation and international acceptance; BE IT RESOLVED that the the Republic of Dranland will make the Egelion Pound legal tender within its borders and its exclusive economic zone; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Republic of Dranland will reduce the amount of Dranlands printed by ten percent every year until the year 2250, when the Dranland will be stripped of its legal tender status; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all government dealings henceforth shall be conducted using the Egelion Pound as currency for monetary payment; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Dranlands shall be exchanged for Egelion Pounds at the rate of four Dranlands per Egelion Pound; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bank of Dranland will neither assign nor strip the Egelion Pound of its value, but accept exchange rates for the Egelion Pound set by the Bank of Egelion. |

| Message | To tie the Dranland currency to gold would only solve the problem temporarily; we also risk having our entire financial stability rest on a precious metal that could be devalued at any time. In addition, printing DRAs costs money, where adopting the Egelion Pound as our currency both saves us those costs and saves us from tying our currency to a capricious market. |
