Message | Mr Speaker, The people of Hutori must recognise the weight of marriage. No-fault divorce is eroding the meaning of marriage, and we need to send a message to everyone that marriage is something everyone should take seriously, and isn't just another contract you can cancel any time for any reason. Message | Mr. Speaker, I rise to strongly object to this bill. A lack of no-fault divorce will force people in bad marriages to stay in bad marriages or make up reasons to get out of them. The end of no-fault divorce will not be the end of divorce - it will only be the end of amicable divorce! Andrew Macalester MP for Sutton East Leader of the SNP |
