Details

Submitted by[?]: Sutton Nationalist Party | Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4470

Description[?]:

OOC: A "Yes" vote on this measure is a vote to proceed with the International Convention at PORT PROSPERITY. A "No" vote on this measure is a vote to find another location.

IC: Mr. Speaker,

I rise to ask this house for recommendations as to a location for a Convention on the Establishment of Universal Rules for Diplomatic Relations. Given that we have no fewer than 16 separate treaties governing bi-lateral diplomatic relations, it seems prudent to create a new treaty that will govern bilateral relations that would apply to all signatories of the treaties I have listed below.

In order to do that, we will need to invite representatives of the governments with which we have engaged in mutual diplomatic relations to participate in a convention in Hutori to determine the full extent of the treaty. Therefore, I am proposing the following cities, and asking for this house to weigh in on which city should be chosen to hold the convention:

F.D. Bekenial
Dalry
St. John
Port Prosperity
Axminster
Carter City
Kincardine

I have chosen not to list Sutton City due to the possibility that Sutton will be declared a separate Crown Dependency by the time of the convention. I look forward to your recommendations and thoughts about the process and about the site for the convention.

Foreign Minister
MP for Sutton East

MessageMr Speaker,

I rise to propose that we select Port Prosperity. As someone who grew up in the city, and has watched it grow throughout my entire life, I would love nothing more than to have representatives from our closest allies come to our beautiful city. We have a brand new convention centre in the heart of downtown and many attractions for our guests to visit. I hope this house will vote to choose Port Prosperity.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I thank the minister from Prosperity North Westmount for his suggestion. As I hope that what ever will come out of this convention will have a dramatic impact on international law, I am admittedly fond of the "Brand" of "The Prosperity Convention on International Relations."

Port Prosperity is a perfect location.

I will ask that debate be kept open for the time being, but will soon move to vote for Port Prosperity unless another city is recommended by another MP.
