MessageOnly 9 seats are vacant, but more importantly an early election would probably jeopardise the possibility of a moderate leftist government.

The only parties that would benefit from an early election right now are the Liberals and Aurorian Nationalists.

MessageAn election was just held, I see little benefit in already disbanding this session of the Sénat.

MessageThis means that a portion of the population are nog gettin' their democratic representation in the parliament. So are these democratic principles less important than your own power? That would be bad news indeed.

MessageLet's speak some truth here. The UHD disbanded because they got hammered in the election and couldn't accept it. If we had elections every time a party disbanded we'd never get anything done.

9 per cent of seats are vacant, that is all. There are many potential coalition ls that would be able to form a government.

The only reason why the Liberals want a snap election is because they think they'd win 9 seats from it.

MessageSo Parti Social-Démocrate is perfectly okey with denying 9% of the population their democratic right to representation?

MessageThis is about the fundaments of what a representative democracy is, not about personal gain, were here to serve the people.

To prove this i would like to openly offer Parti Social-Démocrate and PSD a guarantee; IF you vote for the snap election and give these poeple representation, PL will not run our own candidate for president and instead endorse your candidate of choice. AND we will vote for a Parti Social-Démocrate/PSD cabinet without beeing in it ourself.

This would give the people their fair representation and it would ensure a moderate leftist government. What do you say?

MessageWe will support this measure, however the PL will likely feature in any cabinet produced.

MessageIt makes me happy to hear this from our friends in PSD. PL will of course join the democratic socialists in a cabinet if that is what they want, but if that changes we still promise to vote for a leftist cabinet after the snap election.
