Message | These days there was a controversy in the press. We have sent to retirement, we have asked for resignations or we have fired more than 100 military officers who, through political ties, acquired their rank. This is not controversial. Every organization has the right to do what is most convenient in bureaucracy. The controversial thing is that there are officers who offer favors or gifts to politicians to gain prestige and rank. This is corruption. And that there is a law that protects and promotes such an act. The politician does not usually choose by postulate abilities, but by the "friend-enemy" policy. And so it happens that we have people in high military who can not face a simple logistics or ensure supplies in combat. We want a strong reform and we believe that this is what society wants. Message | The National Legion believes that this democratic measure will allow our brave supporters in the armed forces to elect Legionary officers, so we will naturally support it enthusiastically. Of course, when the National Legion will hold the Ministry of Defence, that will be another story. Sub-Commander Iulian Ciorbă Legionary Spokesman on Matters of Defence |
