MessageFrom our government, we defend the patient's determination on his life. In this sense, we seek to modernize(again) the legislation.

This is not compulsive law, it is about agreements between the patient and the doctor. Both will have to give explicit consent.

MessageThis article is totally constitutional. It does not obligate or kill anyone, it is a personal option.

In any case, we are going to organize a referendum on the subject.

So we will change the title.

OOC I'm still not sure how the referendum system works

MessageAs we already noticed, conservative-reactionary gentlemen, the constitutional principle is not contradictory with this bill. The State is not actively exercising any clause. The right is an agreement between private parties. The state does not interfere in any way. The "right of natural death" belongs to the patient, but it is not an obligation to die naturally.

On the other hand, we are talking about a patient's right and it is not impulsive. In fact, it is maintained without any state interference, even judicial, so that even the doctor can reject his practice. We believe that it is a good point in common and that it will give legitimacy to what is stated here.

MessageThis is an option and a patient's right, which can be accessed with the consent of the doctor that will perform the practice.

If the article said "Euthanasia is mandated for the old and sick" it would not be a right and then, yes, the State would be actively violating the constitutional principles. But this is not what happens.

The state does not exercise any action in this agreement between private parties.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.

Random quote: "I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality.... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
