Message | "The UDT would agree with making the central bank an independendent agency. However, we regard a certain amount regulation necessary for the protection of the less well-off from the excesses of a pure market economy. And we warn aginst leaving the media to the private sector alone. The existence of independent non-profit-making cooperatives ensures that information is not exclusively the domain of those with obvious financial interests in incluencing policy in certain ways."
