Message | Mr. Speaker, It is preposterous that this nation's brave military is not currently allowed to even develop Nuclear Weapons, let alone use them if (God Forbid) need be. Nuclear Weapons are an evil, but a necessary one. It is a necessary deterrent against other nations that may mean us harm. Any NO vote is a vote against the security of this nation! |

Message | Mr Speaker, We see the reasoning of the CSCP and the purpose of their statement but we have to acknowledge the facts. The Confederation hasn't seen war in centuries, sure we've had close calls but that doesn't mean we need to start allocating funding to nuclear weapons, funding that can be better allocated to other services. The funding of nuclear weapons is similar to that of firing shots into the air, we're alerting our enemies and neighbors of our arsenal. Edith Reece Minister for Finance |
