| We, of the FTD, believe that childhood education should be expanded to a curriculum that would require the citizen to participate until their twentieth year of age. Until the end of that period, we do not believe they should be given the rights of adults. On their twentieth birthday, they should then be given automatic, legally recognized adulthood status. However, we think for those who show exceptional adeptness, there should be an exam that, upon satisfactory results, would allow them to receive adulthood status, and all the privileges there within, at an earlier age. This would allow those cases to take on the autonomy, and the accompanying responsibilities, necessary to tackle greater challenges in academics, technical specialization, careers both civilian or military, or inheritance, if they show themselves capable. This exam would become available as early as age ten and is totally voluntary. |
