Message | I agree. It would be a great way to protect ourselves and strengthen our military power, while at the same time promoting peace and helping to ensure that our world remains more peaceful. |
Date | 10:09:14, March 20, 2006 CET | From | Revolutionary Socialist Alliance | To | Debating the Ratification of the North Selayan Military Co-Operation Treaty. |
Message | We do not feel happy at passing a motion which would allow foreign soldiers to move in our country, nor to be formally constrained to help out another country by signing an agreement. |

Message | This is good but we can't accept this: 1. Military forces from allied nations will be given full transit rights and all reasonable assistance to move across the territory of any member state. This includes access to Airports, Seaports, Railway installations etc, both civilian and military. Local military commanders may commandeer rolling stock, aircraft, ships or other transport as necessary in order to move troops to the designated area. So we will vote no. We can't betray our nation like the Liberal Libertarian Party does all the time. What if they occupy our nation without firing a shot abusing these transit rights? They can move their troops to strategic positions and conquer us. |

Message | "What if they occupy our nation without firing a shot abusing these transit rights?" Then its hardly an occupation if they aren't actually using violence is it? "They can move their troops to strategic positions and conquer us." As we can to them. If they step over the line, how long do you think it will take our forces in their nation to respond in kind? How do you think the other members of the agreement will feel if someone steps over that line? Are you really that blind that you can't see the checks that even out such a system? |
