Message | Mr Speaker, Hutori is in a great fiscal position due to our current budget surplus of more than 34 billion Lira. Unfortunately, that surplus has been built by over taxing corporations for a very long time. We could completely eliminate the corporate tax and still have a surplus in our budget. However, we are not asking for a complete abolition of the corporate tax, we are simply asking for a massive reduction to bring Hutori back to being a business friendly nation. With this high of a tax rate, we have seen corporations leave Hutori, or raise the prices of goods and/or reduce the wages of their employees. After passage of this bill, we will still hold a surplus of more than 14 billion Lira, which is still a fantastic surplus which will still allow us from time to time to make strategic investments in the things that matter most to Hutorians. We hope our coalition partners and all parties in this house can support this measure. Zachary Houston MP for Glentingham Centre Minister of Finance |

Message | Mr. speaker By bringing this bill to vote the party opposite has shown once again that they care only far there bourgeoisie masters and not for the working Hutorian, although I don’t believe much new information has come from this, as they have shown the same thing time and time again without thought or care for the proletariat. Message | Mr Speaker, By reducing corporate taxation, we give hutorian businesses the ability to grow, and attract foreign companies to do business here. This in turn creates good jobs for the Hutorian people. What does the member opposite not understand about that? Hon. Zachary Houston MP for Glentingham Centre Minister of Finance |

Message | Mr Speaker, Per the Crown Dependency treaty, the SNP generally abstains from taxation policy matters unless we have caucused with a party that requires it as part of the caucus agreement. We will be abstaining on this bill until further notice. However, if a vote on this bill is required to finally provide Sutton with its own budget as required by the Crown Dependency treaty, we will take a stand. Message | Mr Speaker, We have reached out to the Prime Minister and offered our support on this bill, if he promises a new budget for Sutton. Should he fail to do so, we will renege our support. We believe in our friend the Prime Minister, and see no reason why we would have to take such drastic measures. Andrew Macalester Foreign Minister Grand Representative MP and MC for Sutton |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
