Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 05:33:18, November 10, 2018 CET | From | Gaduridos Progressive Movement | To | Debating the Media Deregulation Act |
Message | We cannot support this bill since it will make it harder for independent nonprofit cooperatives to survive. For profit cooperatives are usually biased on what and how they report things. The only way to ensure people get the information they need is to have Independent cooperatives that don't have to worry about backlash to their monetary situation for what they report or how they report it. |
Date | 16:21:33, November 11, 2018 CET | From | Brethrenist Party of Gaduridos (PHdG) | To | Debating the Media Deregulation Act |
Message | We would like to see the establishment of an information tv and radio station that is entirely free of commercialization and allows citizens to keep tabs on the activities of their government. Therefore, we would oppose this bill if we had votes. |
Date | 15:59:51, November 12, 2018 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the Media Deregulation Act |
Message | The nation needs news from an unbiased source and most media leans left or right. We like to deregulate, but we cannot accept this radical step. |
Date | 19:32:38, November 12, 2018 CET | From | Gran Partido Nacional | To | Debating the Media Deregulation Act |
Message | Anybody who thinks the government will provide "unbiased" new is utterly deluded. Andre Saintilus, Leader of the Grand National Party |
