Bill: Union Re-Legalization Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2203
Description[?]:
Unions represent everything we would want in a functioning democracy: people getting together to lobby for a more ideal future. They serve as a useful check against overly intolerable work conditions. Simply, a corporation does not exist solely to benefit the shareholder. It affects consumers, the environment and community, and, more importantly, the workers who make a living from the company. No union wants their parent company to fail. Unions exist only to represent those who do not have a voice at board meetings. Thus, a vote against unionization is a vote against democracy and a vote against the common working man or woman. |
