Bill: Legislative Reform Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Pnték Prsakij Prta (Phalangists)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2203
Description[?]:
We propose giving political parties the maximum freedom in proposing legislation. We find it bizarre that parties are restricted in this matter, each party has been given a mandate to legislate, and to restrict that process is to go against the foundations of the democratic process. |

Message | The FHP put these restrictions on the table in your absence. We were opposed to the change, and will gladly remove the restraint. |
Date | 20:52:30, March 19, 2006 CET | From | Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Legislative Reform Bill |
Message | The Libertarian party is willing to support this proposal (not that we've needed more quota, since during our time here we've not felt the need to bring about any specific legislation). |
Date | 21:15:11, March 19, 2006 CET | From | Pnték Prsakij Prta (Phalangists) | To | Debating the Legislative Reform Bill |
Message | Yes, the Phalanx itself doubts it will use its quota, but we find it the most annoying thing to be in place in a democracy, a limit upon the proposal of ideas, its crazy, and in no way unjustifiable, plus it favours the older and more established parties. As we see that there is some support for this bill, we shall put to vote in anticipation that others shall support. |
Date | 06:12:48, March 20, 2006 CET | From | Pontesi Fascist Coalition | To | Debating the Legislative Reform Bill |
Message | The PFC is worried that this will lead to an excess of proposals and bills, but we are unopposed to this bill. |

Message | "plus it favours the older and more established parties." - We said pretty much exactly the same thing to the FHP when they proposed the restrictions in the first place, just as the Centrists and the Labour Party emerged and were trying to build up their visibilities. (I didn't wake up in time to vote on this, sadly.) |
