Bill: Egamacation......

Details

Submitted by[?]: Republican Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2203

Description[?]:

Our citizens are going to get dumber. By creating a profit motive for schools, we will generate more and better teachers, smarter children, and a more competitive workforce. Plus, we give so little funding to schools, our schools are terrible....thanks to the Minister of Finance.

If you want public education, you raise taxes and give more money, I was MoF in Kalistan, and had an annual budget of almost 300 billion for education; increased from 120 billion during my time there.

We don't have the funds to compete with all the other private universities, so why should we piss our money away????

MessageWe are sympathetic to the broad aims of these proposals, though we would like to see more done to ensure the poorest families are given the opportunities to take advantage of private sector education. We would like to see Article 3 substituted for:

Education is private, but the government issues vouchers to pay for the schooling of disadvantaged children.
