Bill: Constitutional Reform for a Better Democracy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Tous sont Heureux!
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4495
Description[?]:
It is absolutely ridiculous that for a long legislative session, parties are permitted to only submit 5 proposals. This undoubtedly was created by the former parties in power to limit the leverage that contender parties have and to reduce their chances in overturning the government. We, as lovers and protectors of democracy, can stand this no longer. This proposal is not a partisan issue; it is a way for the widening of democratic opportunity for the parties and the people. I am being serious for once; that shows how much I am committed in having this bill passed and making our political institutions and more inclusive. Please, if your party truly believes in participatory democracy and open voices, vote yes. Edgar Groscul, Presidente de Tous sont Heureux |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
