Bill: The Office Terms Length Act of 2203

An Act to lengthen terms in office. Voter turnout has recently declined, and we think this means we are having too many elections. OOC: This change will mean we will have elections every 10 RL days, instead of every 7 RL days. |

Message | No. 60 months is definitely too long and would make this game really boring. |

Message | No. I sometimes wish it were fewer than 42 months, but at least this way it's at the same day and time every week. Making it more than 42 months would make it both too long *and* irregular. Totally unjustifiable. |

Message | LR - It would not make elections irregular in time. Elections would be every ten days. May we remind all of you that our voter turnouts are currently at about 50%, and this is probably due to the fact that we have the voters vote too much? |
Date | 06:34:28, March 22, 2006 CET | From | Mordusian Individualists | To | Debating the The Office Terms Length Act of 2203 |
Message | OOC: by irregular, s/he meant that rather than the election being at a a specific set day everyweek, it's will change, and that this might cause some confusion. |
