Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

It is the opinion of the Movement of Discontent that our monarchy has taken a dark turn. The upper circles of the nobility of our great nation, the ancient houses, the old blood, they all opposed the enforced alteration of the Kingdom's ancient laws by the new nobles of the Zhtál family. What it caused was a female monarch, Queen Mrjmai. A revered woman, a good Queen and one our nation deserved. But not one that belonged on the throne. The ancient laws should have been respected. These wrong decisions still carry repercussions to this very day.

Our current King has been bewitched by the new blood. The unworthy have influenced him so much that he has lost the true vision of a Banmek-Sntazed. He is no longer a true scion of the blessed house of Merlkai. But to dethrone a monarch is to commit the greatest sin on a monarchy according to the same ancient laws we so respect. Therefore we call for the immediate abdication of Archduke Juhn Banmek-Sntazed of Banstill in favour of the true heir, Prince Juhn Banmek-Sntazed. They may share a name, but the latter is much fiercer in character and by all ancient laws the legitimate heir of this magnificent Kingdom.

It is Prince Juhn Banmek-Sntazed that is the son of Prince Wrntukai Banmek-Sntazed, the brother of the good Queen Mrjmai. For several years, upon her ascension until his own abdication in 4433 (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1605&start=530#p137746) he was the heir of the Kingdom. Upon the birth of his nephew he abdicated. Why? To please his sister, to commit himself to his military career. Good Prince Wrntukai forgot his duty to the Kingdom. His son Prince Juhn was the heir-presumptive of the Archduchy of Banstill for ten months until his father's grievous mistake. By all means Prince Wrntukai should never have abdicated his position as heir of the Kingdom. By all means the laws should never have been altered to allow females to sit the throne.

Therefore; Archduke Juhn, abdicate your title in favour of your close relative the true heir. Let us alter the laws once more and return to the ancient traditions. Let us respect the fact that royalty marries into the ancient blood only, not the new blood, and let us assure that a second Queen will not be the case. We need a strong independent monarch that will utilize the Royal Veto when he has to. We do not need a Zhtál puppet. Thank you and God bless.

Prince Pawl Banmek-Sntazed
Deputy Leader of the Movement of Discontent

MessageMembers of the Grand Council,

We may well expect a conspiracy to overthrow the rightful monarch of Vanuku from within the wretched ranks of socialists and communists. But for this attack to come from nobility - and more than that, from a disillusioned faction within the royal House of Banmek-Sntazed is beyond the pale.

Moreover, to attempt to repeal the Royal Succession Act of 4410 is one thing, to attempt to turn back the clock nearly a century to fix the result and to make Prince Juhn the heir to the throne is tantamount to treason and besmirches the reputation of Queen Mrjmai and her brother who legitimately made the choice on her heir.

I can tell this house that this government will not stand for such attempts to destabilise our kingdom. Therefore, we completely reject this proposal and I will speak directly to the King and the Archduke to work out how we will progress this matter and what punitive action will be taken - and, indeed, whether we can allow this new party of discontent to even register, given the tack they have taken!

Let me be also be clear that the House of Zhtál-Merlkai rescued Vanuku when it was falling into stagnation and have worked tirelessly to ensure Vanuku retains its preeminent position within Terra and have built on its military and economic capabilities. As a result, the Duke and his family are rightfully very much respected by the King and play the role of advisors to royal court, as and when, that advice is necessary.

Given this disgraceful attempt to sully the good name of that honourable family I am also intent on looking at a way of formalising that advisory role and inexorably linking the Zhtál-Merlkai dynasty to the royal family in perpetuity - so this talk of old blood and new blood is forever consigned to the history books.

Baron Dnkai Könnyrahe
Prefect of Vanuku
