Message | Mr. Speaker I'd like to ask the Deputy Prime Minister Mr Dover why the federal government should manage homeless shelters. I would like to know of an example at which the federal government can do a better job with homelessness then the local governments. With the federal government you add another level a bureaucracy which a majority of the time will cause increased delays and inefficiencies. The one-size-fit-all federal government can never handle local issues as well as local people. We urge all parties to join us in this common sense and reasonable proposal. Message | Just like the National Healthcare Devolution Act, this is going to put a lot of homeless people in a worse position than they already are simply because they’re in the wrong Federal State.Local governments can’t deal with healthcare, how can we except them to deal with homeless shelters? -John Dover September 4519 |
