Bill: RP: Protecting Gaduridos From Fascist Military Takeover
Details
Submitted by[?]: Gaduridos Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4542
Description[?]:
Following the conversion of Keymon from a republic to a military dictatorship, we have decided to propose a bill to prevent such a thing from happening in our own country. We request the co-operation of other parties in drafting and discussing the bill. Article I: Any militant group or organization with the intent to overthrow the Republic and establish a military dictatorship must be immediately dispersed upon discovery. Article II: Fascist or authoritarian ideologies are allowed in the military, but subversive plots must be suppressed. Article III: In the event that a military group seizes power (a military coup) with the intent of creating a fascist or authoritarian government, the citizens of Gaduridos are granted the right and responsibility to rebel against such military forces and wage war against them, in order to preserve the Republic. Domenico Rodriguez Gaduridos Freedom Party Leader OOC: If you have any suggestions for the bill, please post them in the discussion. The idea is that the military will not be allowed to seize government power through RP. |

Message | In a truly shocking display we actually support the super progressives. Well we certainly don't condone fascism or any extremist ideology we do not believe witch-hunts and political handcuffing is the correct policy. Rafael Costatos Prime Minister of Gaduridos |

Message | Thanks to the issues pointed out, we have decided to change the terms of this bill. Free speech will still be allowed in the military and ideologies that we don't agree with (such as fascism) will be tolerated, but we cannot allow outright subversive ideas that could threaten our nation. Free speech should not be abused by people whose real intention is to suppress it. Domenico Rodriguez Gaduridos Freedom Party Leader |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
Random quote: First and second class seats on public transport shall be BANNED! We are all FIRST CLASS people, regardless of whether we are rich or poor and can afford or not afford to pay for a more expensive seat. From now on, all seats on trains, buses, trams, planes and so on shall be the SAME. We will all travel in the SAME way, TOGETHER. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
