| This act calls for the installation of a new office. In case of a presidential death in office we need someone to stand in whilst new elections are held. We propose.... 1) A new office of vice President is created and will stand in, on the death or resignation of a President, as a TEMPORARY post. 2) Emergency elections immediatly be called on the death of the President. |

| Message | The GC's point is invalid and threatens the seperation of the executive and legislature. The President does not 'run' the country, the president has seperate powers to the Senate which create a balance of powers. Giving the presedential powers to the Senate upon the death of a president is a dictatorial and anti-democratic measure. However, as we are in opposition to the office of the President we stand against this bill. |
