| Message | Well if you had just invented it, I would say yes - however, its term has expired. A patent protects the intellectual property of the individual from large corporations and unscrupulous departments who would take the idea, make millions and pay the inventor nothing. We are not talking about basic operations but about sorting, compression, management techniques and designs, as stated. |
