Message | This bill shows the world that we're not to mess with. This doesn't mean that we're going to use such weaponry. But by letting the world know that we aren't obstructed by our laws to use those weapons will let other countries think before they attack us. |
Date | 22:55:02, April 07, 2019 CET | From | Humanist Party | To | Debating the Militairy Reform |
Message | The construction of such weaponry is not only expensive, but it also poses a possible risk to safety. The upkeep of these weapons will drain funds from other areas and if there is a breach in safety the release of nuclear materials would be hazardous to health. The only way a nuclear deterrent would work would be if we faced an imminent nuclear attack, by which time it would be far too late to retaliate at all. We understand your reasoning, it is admirable to wish to secure the safety of our people, however we do not feel we are able to support this bill. W. Bowman. Leader of The Humanist Party. |
Date | 23:33:14, April 07, 2019 CET | From | Social Democratic Party | To | Debating the Militairy Reform |
Message | We find it ridiculous that a progressive party wants research in nuclear weaponry. Also, if we get in a nuclear war situation, the apocalypse will be upon us. Negotiations and peace should be our response to avoid escalation. |
