| The Lodamese Green Coalition recognizes that our nation has underwent great reform and prosperity over the past few decades since the formation of the Republic. We believe it is time that we shall hereby recognize our nation as a Great Democratic Republic once again. With the passage of this act, the Presidium of Lodamun agrees and shall enact that the "Republic of Lodamun" shall hereby be known as the "3rd Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun". Just as well, the current name of our administrative regions, "Communal Districts", is an artifact of a time our nation was a so-called "Co-operative Federative Republic" which was ruled by a coalition of fascist parties in the 4520s and 30s. This was a very dark time in our nation's history and we would like to complete the transition from that regime to our current much more democratic and free one. In changing the name of our administrative regions to back to "Provinces", we will complete such a transition. Being a change to the constitution, this bill requires 2/3rds of the Presidium to vote in favor in order to pass. |
