Bill: Legal Representation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lodamese Democratic Progressive Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4577
Description[?]:
At a vote of 434 in the affirmative and 165 opposing, the Lodamese Green Coalition has agreed to propose that we change the policy on the legal aid on the accused. The state should only pay for legal representation for defendants with low incomes. This will lessen the financial burden on the Justice Ministry while also ensuring that those that cannot afford representation are given adequate representation from the state, maintaining that all have the right to a fair trial regardless of income. |

Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
