| Message | Municipal councils are elected by the people as well. The current system of collective governance simply ensures that more people are represented by their local executives. One single person can't represent thousands, potientally millions of people living in a municipality as well as several. The current system also ensures that no one person acquires too much power inside a municipality, making the risk of things such as corruption and cronyism much less common. |
