Mr Speaker, with this bill the majority proceeds to depenalizing the blasphemy in Istalia. Free Church in Free State, a principle that must be respected. The State has no place in such diatribas. Indeed, the State must assure the safeness of the society from those harmful cults which are not compatible with the laws of Istalia and to its society. For this reason soon the Government will present another bill to better regulate the religion affairs in Istalia. Thank you - Milena Quattrociocche, Minister of Interior |

Message | Mr Speaker, responding to Hon. Salvini who said that "Religion is a sacred thing...", well... maybe for you! Istalia is a secular nation which CANNOT express such a position towards its citizens, among which there are many that doesn't have a religion, there are many that doesn't believe in sacred things and as such, the State cannot discriminate against those who have not a Faith. Blasphemy means that any form of criticism to a religion can become a criminal offence, why? Because any form of criticism, also just saying that this or that religion is wrong or make things wrong can be considered as a blasphemy. Furthermore, imposing to our citizens that they must respect the religion, and then Hon. Salvini must explain us what religion, because in Istalia we have 2 major religion (the Hosian Aurorianism and the Israi Ahmadism) and many other minor faiths, would be a veritble limitation to the freddom of expression. EVERYBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO CRITICIZE ANY RELIGIONS THEY WANT AND, IF THEY WANT, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DENY THE RESPECT TO ANYTHING RELATED TO RELIGIONS OR SACRED THINGS. About what kind of measures the Ministry wants adopt about disrespecting, the Ministry and this Nation will not and must not take any measures. In Istalia are enforced laws against the publication of false information and HATE SPEECH (http://classic.particracy.net/viewvariable.php?variable=MEDIA_CONTENT). HATE SPEECH laws defend people also from hatred speeches against religions and religion faith. But one thing is menacing and expressing hate against a religion, another thing is criticize or express opinions against religions. And... Mr Salvini, you have not the truth about religion in your hands, absolutely not the ones of many members of the majority of the National Assembly which are agnostic if not atheists. I'm atheists for example, and personally I consider the religion, all the religions, useless and often harmful for a modern society. Now, what do you have to say about this Hon. Salvini? What do you want to say to me Hon. Salvini? That I'm wrong? On what basis? The yours? And who are you? Who are you to say to us that we cannot touch or question the sacred things? Thank you - Carola Mattioli, ANI |
