Message | Ours is a secular government, comrade. Religion is a nice idea, but in practice, leads to numerous problems in governmental offices. I vote no. |

Message | You misunderstand: Religions have no place in the government. This means that the government cannot, will not, and does not plan to sponsor any official state religion in the sense of using religious means to achieve political gain. Allow me to provide an example: Imagine, if you will, there was an election, where one candidate basically says "vote for me. I'm christian," or "Vote for me. I will reunite the holy lands." See where I'm going with this? This makes for HUGE political stalemates and further secularism. I'm not saying that there should be no religion, just no sponsorship of it. If someone wants to be Christian, let them be. If someone wants the GOVERNMENT to be Christian... what purpose would it serve other than make for a climate of religious discrimination? |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill |
