Message | We are strongly opposing this reform, but allow us to explain why: A1 Introduces child labour which is extremely reactionary. Child labour infringes on poor children's rights and takes jobs away from adults. A2 Would allow private monopolies to take our nation hostage, whenever a policy is passed they don't like. Additionally any kind of market failure (where MSC does not equal MSB) would be detrimental for our people and economy. A3 This is bad, because it can cause inflation or deflation, caused by the demand of foreign markets. A4 All private industries have a profit-making motive, that's why some, such as pharmaceutical R&D were under public control, so that they were operating under a human-helping motive A5 Just lowers the minimum wage and puts the most marginalised people in a worse position. A6 Will result in price exploitation A7 Any banning of drugs has extremely negative consequences - it exposes mild drug users to hard drugs, prevents them from seeking help when they need to and most of all creates a deadly black market. A8 We are a party of cooperatives and we believe that cooperative firms are the superior form of company and should be given advantages so that there would be more of them. This government wants to prevent new cooperatives from forming, by aretificially increasing opportunity cost! |

Message | Thank you for your comments. However, we disagree with all of them. 1. Small weekend jobs does not harm our kids, do they? Besides, it prepares them for the “real” world. 2. No, more competition brings a better price-quality balance. Monopolies are not allowed in our nation and this Government support that idea. 3. The confidence of foreign companies and investors in our economy and Government will raise. Moreover, it will pressure any cabinet to implement sound financial policies. 4. They still will be. However, I see your point and my Ministry will monitor all developments. 5. Working will be better than sitting at home. This will stimulate everyone to become more independent from the state. 6. You mean lower prices.... Nothing wrong with that. 7. We will be offering help to those addicts who want to quit drugs. 8. DWC’s are still allowed. This Government want to give equal rights to private entrepreneurs. Joachim Brudersacher Minister of Trade and Industry |
