Message | To the SPP, you make a cogent point. But: If a monopoly were to be created, then it would be trust-busted in accordance with the current monopoly law. As such, this would actually streamline the trust-busting process, if that's the concern, making government smaller, and more efficient. To the end of the redistribution of land, however, the NLP believes this to be deeply dangerous, since there are no specifics regarding how the large farm would be broken up - meaning that the government could theoretically partition the land as a political kickback. The monopoly trust-busting system is already formalized, and has the rule of law behind the redistribution of the trust after it has been dismantled. Let's streamline the laws, and just treat a monopolized farm as just another monopoly, to be dealt with the instruments of the financial market, rather than the whims of politicians. The NLP Board |
