Message | We oppose this bill because we believe that the media should be free of capital. Corporate media is in its nature, incentivised to distort the truth, because it cares less about informing the viewers and more about increasing profit margins. We believe that a decommodified press is more truthful, more independent and more qualitative than corporate media. Marek Svoboda, Leader of the DPH group in the federal council. |

Message | Even though you are right, it is still one of the important subjects of democracy. Having media under the control of the state is itself a huge attack on freedom of speech and democracy. For the cases that you pinpointed a special independent council should be created to ensure that an objective truth is being told. |
