Bill: Retirement Age Policy Change
Details
Submitted by[?]: Baltusian Liberal-Socialist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4601
Description[?]:
I suggest that we lower the retirement age. For those who are 60 or above that have a tough life and would want to retire this could be good. But for those who are still working and aren't looking to retire let them continue to work and not retire. But some people may want to retire early so I propose the age to be 60 years. |

Message | Any citizen can retire as early as they wish. The professional retiring age “65” is NOT a compulsory policy which requires everyone to retire exactly at 65. The policy states that at the age of 65, one can decide whether to retire or to continue a certain career. Any professional can retire even as early as 45, as covered in the current policy. So we, The Baltusian Conservative Party, will not support your proposal. We are looking forward for more proposals from you and work with you towards the betterment of every Baltusian citizen. |

Message | Colleagues, We agree with the line of the Conservative Party; the retirement age is not strictly set at 65. This is only the age when Baltusian citizens will begin to receive their state pesion - private pensions can be received before this age. However, we will abstain from voting until we hear back from our colleagues in the Centrist Party, whose portfolio includes the trade and industry's Minister. Our thanks to the honourable member for their proposal. Gemma Sherry, Prime Minister |

Message | We think that the retirement age should be raised because people are living longer. |
