| Currently, our nation's law levies a 50% tax rate on luxury goods. This outrageously high tax rate hurts the producers of luxury goods. With such a high tax rate, the sale of luxury goods is nigh nonexistent. Luxury good manufacturers will be forced to cease production if the tax rate remains unchanged, thereby raising the unemployment rate and hurting the economy. I propose that this tax rate on luxury goods be reduced to 10%. |

| Message | Thank you Conservative Party of Likatonia. I see that our country has a flat income tax rate of 10% for all citizens. I would be also be willing to work with you to eliminate the income tax, but even if it were eliminated, the luxury sales tax would still be slightly too high. We both have the common goal of wanting to reduce taxes, and because this bill debates the luxury sales tax, I think it would be in the best interest of our country to vote with me to reduce the luxury tax before discussing the income tax. I thereby move this bill to a vote. |
