| For months, we have seen a new face of our Confederation. Our country, however, is struggling because of the debts left by the previous administration. However, this is not the only sole reason why we have decided to sign the Treaty of Sathea. Our country is facing threats of rebellions and terrorism, causing instability in security, scaring our people and foreign investors. Last month, a major city in our country, the city of Deltavaros, has its parts severely destroyed due to bombings that was later identified by the K-Intel as a terrorist-devised plan. Our country has our own standing army but to ensure that safety of the people is secured, the government decided to agree with the proposal given to us by Zardugal. We have negotiated terms and conditions about our admission in the Zardugalian Empire in such a way that our country’s sovereignty and power as its own nation is respected and upheld. And the best thing in this treaty by Zardugal is that they do it through peaceful negotiations that can help our country, unlike the previous empires of the past centuries which forced us with their militaries and oppressed our people. I know that many people in the country opposed this idea and called my administration weak, and this action unconstitutional, but let me tell you this. The transition itself is constitutional because our legislature has approved of it. We are now preparing for a new government and it shall not be stopped. Besides, before agreeing to this treaty, a referendum was held and 73.46 % of the people voted in favor of joining the Empire. The remaining percentage can learn to adopt to the new system; we must ensure that the majority’s voice is favored. Zardugal’s government guaranteed us that they will give us economic aid to rebuild our fallen city of Deltavaros, increase employment, and build infrastructure projects that can be helpful for the advancement of our nation. Because we have signed the Treaty of Sathea, a constitutional amendment is being held that will transition our government into a Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy and install His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Felipe I, as Head of State of New Endralon. That is also one of our will-be-passed legislation: to rename our country officially as the Czardom of New Endralon. Kizenia can still be used in informal addresses but the usage of New Endralon for formal and informal addresses is actively and strongly encouraged. After the new constitution will be put into effect, the Governor-General and Chancellor of the Ministries shall be sworn in to their offices. I will assure you that the transition of government and power will be easy and smooth. Everything shall go according to plan. It is the people’s desire to be admitted to the Empire and it is our duty to give them what they want. With full honesty, there is a feeling of sentiment and sadness within me as the sun sets on the Confederation but for many important reasons that can be detrimental to our nation’s survival if not to be solved, we have chosen to resort in signing the treaty, not an act of concession but an act of moving forward. – Puheenjohtaja Tavian Ianculescu |
