Description[?]:

"Honorable members of the Bundesrat,

It is a great privilege to address you here today - the second ever state of the Republic speech to be delivered here in Dorvik. We have heard reports of political instability and the dissolution of two prominent parties leading to fresh elections. We have lived through this political chaos, with three elections in as many years. Today, however, marks the start of a new era. I am here to tell you that - thanks to my colleagues in the Bundesrat and the new minority coalition of Die Mitte - we are entering a period of sensible, good government. Yes, to all of you gathered here today and all those watching at home: the State of our Republic is strong!

Some have questioned the decision to form a minority government. To those, I respond that our government is willing to work with any and all parties to promote our shared Dorvish values, our shared human values. Die Mitte chose to not be bogged down by the far-right demagoguery or the far-left communism, instead focusing on the centrist values that the Dorvish people voted for.

I admit, being the President but coming from the party with the smallest parliamentary standing, there will be times when we must work together. Nothing requires greater cooperation than the current ongoing conflict in Suyu Llaqta. I would like to thank General Obart, a true Dorvish patriot, for his leadership in the conflict. While we have defeated the Suyu Llaqtese state, we must now begin the process of repairing their nation, and continue the process of bringing the terrorists to justice.

To this end, I am announcing the creation of the "War Council," which will be comprised of senior government ministers - including Defense Minister Hans Openwaffer, Foreign Affairs Minister Helmut Parker, and Internal Affairs Minister Frederich Bantsz, and the heads of each of the major parties in Dorvik - including those in opposition. We will work together to collaboratively solve the problems around the globe, and promote Dorvish leadership where appropriate.

Domestically, my government will focus on ensuring the well-being and prosperity of all Dorvish citizens. We will show that a reasonable, moderate agenda is the best path forward. That being said, we will work with the populists and communists on areas where we have mutual agreement.

For instance, we will continue to invest in the Dorvan Strait Tunnel and begin to open up our railways to private competition alongside nationalized alternatives. These actions will be spearheaded by a lioness of great stature in this chamber, Minister Louise Schmidt. And my government will fight to legalize civil unions between people of the same-sex: we will finally pass the Reform of marriage laws, as introduced by the Liberale Partei.

Our nation enjoys a strong economy, and a growing budget surplus: at latest count, 15 billion DDO. My government, with help from Finance Minister Klara Lichtenfels, will ensure that we aren't hoarding taxpayer money, and instead put that surplus to use: both by cutting tax on the poor and making investments into the future.

Members of the Bundesrat, today marks a new dawn for Dorvik. I urge you to go boldly with me, go boldly with us, as we seek to improve our Republic. This isn't a matter for partisanship, it's a matter for common cause!

Long live Dorvik! Long live the Republic!"

-President Stephen Mandel, Sol

MessageDear president mandel,
I hear you say you won't be bogged down by the far right and communism, but yku needed the support of the communists to make youre cabinet, it is only because of the far left communists that we have a cabinet. I say this with stilk the most respect for you and youre party, that you should at least show it youre statement and not try to deny that we are here. We voted for this miniority cabinet to keep out far right parties like the DSNVP getting in, now you say you are willingly to work with then, just as you would do with us, where is consequence in this?

We where already against the war in suyu llaqta, we will not support any invading of a country or bomb it, we hope this givernement will make wiser decisions.

We will not blindly support everything of this cabinet, we will see the proposals and if we agree, we will support. This is a center governement who i am worried for tho not have a real ideology and would compomise to much. We hope you take youre responsibility 's take consequential actions.

We hope with caution that youre government will provail and wish you good luck.

MessageDear president mandel,

I hear you say you won't be bogged down by the far right and communism, but you needed the support of the communists to make youre cabinet, it is only because of the far left communists that you have a cabinet. I say this with still the most respect for you and youre party, that you should at least show it in youre statement and not try to de y us. We voted for this miniority cabinet to keep out far right parties like the DSNVP getting in, now you say you are willingly to work with them, just as you would do with us, where is the consequence in this?

MessageOOC: Archiving this to de-clutter the bills for debate space. We should probably make a single bill (or amend the RP bill posted in the debate section) that lists all States of the Republic for reference.
