Description[?]:
Restoring broadly shared prosperity within a globalised Kazulian economy requires extraordinary works. With our capacity to trade hinder by previous actions, we must move towards overcoming said challenges and move to revitalise how Kazulia does trade with the international community. One of the top priorities for trade policy in the NAP Government is the elimination of unsustainable trade practices, from currency manipulation to unfair trading policies. 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 Recognising our nation's currency disparities on trade, this incumbent government will introduce the following policy moves within the coming months and years. • Declare a "pause" in negotiating new trade agreements • Initiate a review of all existing Kazulian trade agreements which should focus on addressing investment flows, worker rights, environmental standards and practices and consumer safety. • Enter new negotiations to replace the Treaty of Delaune (seen here: http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=4354) that establishes trans-nationally enforceable trade principles such as investment flows, worker rights, environmental standards and practices and consumer safety. 𝗥𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 Recognising that the reorganisation of Kazulian trade is a key feature of this government's trade policy, the following are the plans to be implemented by this government to introduce a paradigm shift in how Kazulia conducts trade. • Create a Stortinget Select Committee on Globalisation and Transnational Trade to develop legislation that refocuses globalisation from deal-making to economic policy. • Strengthen the role of the Department of Trade and Industry in foreign policy, specifically trade. Vis-à-vis bringing the portfolio of the Trade and Industry Minister inline with that of the Foreign Minister. • Push the World Congress and the International Development and Stability Bank on forming a global body to step globally accepted standards for international trade. • Push for the World Congress to become more involved in standardised international trade and introducing resolutions within the General Assembly to standardise the conditions for transnational trade. 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 • Eliminate perverse tax incentives that favour overseas investments, and consider instituting value-added taxes that favour exports over imports. • Support effective research and technology development that would be channelled to production in the United States. • Re-emphasise locally based manufacturing extension services to provide technical, managerial and financial assistance to small and medium-sized firms in Kazulia. **This is a normal law, as such it can be amended/abolished with a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. |
