Date | 03:55:01, October 05, 2019 CET | From | Black Bloc | To | Debating the Talmorian Defense (Reform) Act of 4644 |
Message | Yemi Ayafele, Minister of Defense: "After looking at the state of our military and the laws that have bound us in odd directions- towards the stockpiling of dangerous and uncontrollable chemical weapons while also ensuring we're seen as the global pariahs when it comes to the treatments of prisoners and other such measures, these are the proposals that we feel will help increase Talmoria's safety by bringing us in line with global norms while at the same time protecting our ability to defend ourselves. This Government does not seek to serve as an aggressor in any conflict, and we feel that we can send a statement by ensuring this body is willing to support that stance through passing legislation such as this. While it doesn't go as far as certain elements would no doubt like, this helps us to send a message that we are ready to defend ourselves if need be- but we're not going to sacrifice everything we stand for or believe in as people to do so." |
Date | 15:20:59, October 05, 2019 CET | From | United Boroist Cadre | To | Debating the Talmorian Defense (Reform) Act of 4644 |
Message | P.K. Chaterjee, Deputy General Secretary of the United Boroist Cadre, Portfolio of Defence: "While we disagree vehemently with the notion that the women of Talmoria are not fit to serve in the military as co-equals, the absolutely barbaric policies instituted by the previous regime must be rejected." |
